You would be required to take your family to a beach where every member of the family would be able to enjoy themselves. The best place in USA for family surfing would be the Waikiki beach on the Oahu Island. The coast of Mexico is another very famous location for family surfers. These beaches are the best locations as small waves occur for the beginners in the family while decent sized waves tend to occur too for the other members of the family.

The last group includes beginner surfers. A beginner surfer will have absolutely no problem in finding a good location to surf. The best part is that your travel is restricted as you will not have to look far to find the waves to your liking. There are quite a few beaches in Hawaii as well as California. If you are planning to go abroad, then Australia and Mexico are your best options.
